Oliver is a founding partner of Onside Law, and a Sports Law ‘veteran’ having first practised in the industry 25 years ago. Having trained and qualified at Nabarros, Oliver was seconded to IMG on several occasions prior to joining the in-house legal team permanently in 1999.

Oliver is a Commercial lawyer, and is well known for acting for Talent, particularly in golf and football. Oliver has been acting for Sir Nick Faldo for over 20 years and counts some of the biggest names in world sport as clients.
Particular highlights include acting for Rory McIlroy on his ground-breaking Nike deal in 2012 and advising Ryder Cup Europe on the bidding processes for the 2018 and 2022 Ryder Cups. Oliver forms part of Eden Hazard’s management team and played a significant role in his move to Real Madrid in 2019. Oliver oversees US Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick’s business affairs and other clients include Jude Bellingham, Tommy Fleetwood, Red Bull Racing and Leeds United.
Oliver has published a number of articles, has appeared as an expert on the BBC News, and has featured in the likes of Sports Business, The New York Times, The Times and the Daily Telegraph as a sports law expert. Oli is a former Board Member of Kidderminster Harriers and ski instructor. He is a season ticket holder at Southampton FC and manager of the Alresford Town FC U11s. He has got the yips.
